about

“Fall Risk” is the debut album of folk/rock singer-songwriter Timmy Milner.

The songs, born from a near death experience and a long road to recovery, deal with mortality, a renewed sense of purpose, and a longing for spiritual connection.

Independently produced by Sam Winsor and Timmy Milner, the all analog recording began in September 2017 at New Monkey Studio in Los Angeles, brainchild of the late Elliott Smith. Sam captured that warm “vibe” using some old but amazing recording equipment and techniques. The recording was completed at Tape Hiss Recording Studio in Santa Ana and Kingsize Soundlabs.

Fall Risk was mixed at Palomino Sound and Tape Hiss Recording Studio and mastered by Doug Van Sloun of Focus Mastering in Omaha, NE.

Track Name: Part of Your Sunshine
Part of Your Sunshine
Music and Lyrics: Timmy Milner

I’ve been living on it
drinking tears and vomit
for far too long
bearing winter alone
bleeding fingers, cracked bones
is this my home
then you call me
how could I believe that
you say you love me
I’ll try and believe that

I’ve been waiting a long time
to be part of your sunshine
blow the clouds from this dark, cold night
and just let your sunny weather come and shine
and just let you sunny weather fill my skies

cut your lips on my skin
then you’ll taste all my sin
and spit me out
preacher made it quite clear
I should eat of this fear
there’s no turning back now
but still you call me
how could I believe that
you say you love me
I’ll try and believe that

Track Name: Glass of Your Eye
Glass of Your Eye
Music and Lyrics: Timmy Milner

I’ll never find a memory of that day
when all of my memories ran away
but I’ll always remember when you showed me your sky
flew me over creation then you showed me your eyes

That moment buried all my pride
That moment buried all my pride
The moment I watched the mountains rise
through the glass of your eyes

Sitting in a dark room, hands in iron
a dark black shadow slivers forward and back
the world is gray and far away
I close my eyes, you are there

Track Name: Above the Chaos
Above The Chaos
Music and Lyrics: Timmy Milner

‘scuse me while I fight this raging ocean
of perpetual emotion
ever following me
‘scuse me while I climb this crumbling mountain
in search of hallowed fountain
to revitalize me

they once told me I
could fly above the chaos
resting on your wings of peace
I’ll try to fly

‘scuse me as I enter down the alleys
to face the covered bodies
of my broken dreams
‘scuse me as I put this life on hold,
confront my timid soul,
and seek some healing

Track Name: Time to Go
Time To Go
Music and Lyrics: Timmy Milner

It’s been a long time
living in this jungle of mine.
It’s been a long stay
and i’m ready to be on my way.
Oh, time to go
traveling on my way home.

It’s been a cold night
walking through the darkness of my mind.
Once, I knew a warm light
kept me sheltered under his great flight.
Oh, time to go
traveling back to my home.

Watch the way my hands bleed,
shaking under shackles under sheets.
i can here a voice ring,
a shepherd calling out to one lost sheep.
Oh, time to go.

Carry me back to my home.

Track Name: Feeling Human
Feeling Human
Music and Lyrics: Timmy Milner

I’ve learned the time
heard the lies
bones move through my skin
I’m feeling human
my hands are tied
feet are bare
I don't have much to share
I’m feeling human today
but i am feeling okay

despite the things I feel
my heart can tell the lies from what is real
I’m feeling human tonight
but I am feeling alright

I’m full of stains
still got chains
I'll leave ‘em in plain sight
I’m feeling human tonight
cut the ropes
of tethered souls
I’ll let you bring the light
I’m feeling human tonight
but I am feeling alright

and you don’t really need
to eat the shame you’ve found
in me
I'm only human tonight
but hopefully you see
the greater life that’s living
in me
I wanna see it tonight
I’m feeling human tonight
but I am feeling alright.

Track Name: Never Stop
Never Stop Loving You
Music and Lyrics: Timmy Milner

I tried to wash my hands clean
they’re just as red as lights I pass right by
I’m bad at hiding feelings
I’m just as bad at talking ‘bout them too

I’m looking at you frankly
allowing eyes to engage in conversation
I know it’s hard to watch me failing
but darling, look how far we’ve come
I wonder just how far we’ll go

I’ll never stop
loving you

I’ve started hunching over
from all the weights I’ve tied around my neck
you open up the curtains
allowing sun to kiss my pallid skin

with the help of the son and the dove
I’ll give you every bit of my love
nothing’s ever gonna take that love away
